Sand Storm Team Information
Some of you have been asking about Sand Storm travel information, here is what I have for now.
As Sand Storm is not a “Stay to Play” event we are not requiring the players to stay anywhere specific. If you have not been to Sand Storm before it is being held at the Empire Polo Club. There are no hotels really close. The closest being 10 minutes away. The surrounding area is all houses. Many people have had good luck renting houses or condos for the weekend through websites like vrbo.com & airbnb.com.
The easiest airport to fly into is Palm Springs, but it is a smaller airport and can be pricey. Alternatives are Ontario, CA (90 miles from the fields), San Diego (134 or 165 miles depending on your route), LAX (150 miles), or John Wayne Airport in Orange County (118 miles).
The coaches are arriving on Friday. We encourage you to do so as well.
Get your airfare and lodging soon. Let me know if you have any questions.
